Introducing Michelle’s Administrative Assistant, she’s also a Life Coach!
My name is Maribeth Vandenbergh, I am Michelle’s Administrative Assistant, and a Life Coach (🌿 Life Coaching with MB 🌿 est. 2017(my maiden name: Maribeth Ferry).
I am a graduate of D’Youville College, and Liberty University. I have degrees in Education and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As a former Mental Health Counselor and Educator, I’ve combined my skill-set from both fields into my passion as a practicing Life Coach and workshop\group facilitator!
SERVICES
Although I hold a degree in Clinical Mental Health, I delineate my services to my clients; while I do not offer counseling services anymore, I do make suggestions to my coaching clients regarding what to bring into sessions when they meet with their counselor. The majority of my clients are active in counseling with another Professional. I offer them additional support during their growth journey. You can read about the difference between Counseling and Coaching in the Welcome tab on my website (https://lifecoachmb.wordpress.com).
WORLDVIEW
Through the years I’ve offered my free time as a mentor and have maintained relationships with many of these women. Many of these relationships have included a Christian worldview, but have not been limited to it. In other words, I am a practicing Christian and my faith is very important to me. However, I do not limit my services nor do I have prejudice regarding religion, race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.
All are welcome here!
PERSONAL
Some fun facts about me: I got married four and a half years ago, and am madly in love with my amazing, handsome, and supportive husband, Neil.
I love to laugh, cook, and being out in nature. I also love animals, and I have friends and clients from all around the world.
I love traveling, hanging out with my husband, listening to him play the guitar and sing, talking with good friends, viewing art, theater, listening to a wide range of music and, a daily must — a good cup of coffee!
I also love to read; you can often find my nose in a book.
PERSONAL LIFE EXPERIENCE
I have learned both as a client and provider that in most cases it is helpful for the client to know some things about the provider. Not just information about schooling, and professional experience, but personal life experience as well. I’d like to share just a few things about my personal journey.
Growing up in a broken home I survived my parents’ painful drawn-out divorce, as well as adjusting to life with and without one parent as my care-giver. I endured trauma as early as in the womb, and throughout different seasons of my life. I am a survivor of assault, abuse, and I am in recovery – have almost twenty years sober.
I’ve lost many loved ones to death, including my Father, and Step-Father. I’ve walked the road of almost losing my Mother to cancer, not the least of which included attending countless treatments, and surgery as well. The list goes on.
I’ve had my fair share of heartbreak, both romantically and within both professional and personal relationships. I continue to navigate life by leaning into support from both a Life Coach and a Mental Health Counselor, as I’ve struggled with anxiety, and depression.
I mentor others, and take my relationship with God and my husband both very seriously. I’ve also had my fair share of life adjustments; moving to new locations within the same state, out of state, and out of the country. I’ve developed the skills to transition throughout each of these situations.
I feel it important to share these details so that you as a potential client can see I didn’t just gain my skill-set from books, or research. I’ve LIVED it. Many of these tough life circumstances, (as well as my experiences as an educator) have led me to become passionate about writing programs, and curricula to help my clients, as well as other professionals find a better quality of life!
CONCLUSION
I strive to continue to learn and grow, and try to live life to the fullest each and every day, and am honored by the privilege to guide others to do the same!
Thanks again for stopping by!
